About Laura the Artist
I’m Laura Whitelock, the artist behind LCW Graphic Designs.
I create place-based artwork inspired by landscapes, wildlife, and the experience of being in a place. Whether that’s Alaska, a national park, or somewhere you’ve traveled through and want to remember.
I’ve spent much of my life exploring the outdoors and living in places where landscape plays a big role in daily life. Over time, that connection to place naturally became the foundation of my work. Translating environments, details, and experiences into designs that people can take home with them.
What started as a personal creative practice has grown into a collection of retail products and fine art. My work is now carried in gift shops, visitor centers, and tourism retailers, and is designed with both artistic intention and real-world use in mind. Balancing visual appeal, storytelling, and strong presence in retail environments.
While Alaska is where much of this began, my work continues to expand into new locations and landscapes, including national parks, the Southwest, and beyond. The places evolve, but the core idea stays the same:
Creating work that helps people remember where they’ve been.
In addition to retail collections, I also create original artwork and collaborate with parks, outdoor brands, and destination-based businesses on custom designs.
For me, it’s always been about noticing the details of a place—and finding a way to hold onto them.
